Distinguished Service Award

This award is given annually in recognition of Professional Leadership in the scholarship and practice of Industrial Organization.

Luis Cabral
New York University Stern Business School

Luis Cabral has greatly expanded the field of industrial organization through his research on competition, widely-circulated textbook, and extensive leadership.

Cabral is known for his extensive mentorship and supervision of dozens of dissertations, his authorship of the widely-used Introduction to Industrial Organization, and his founding of IO Day. He also has held leadership roles including serving as president of major IO organizations such as E.A.R.I.E. and the Asia-Pacific IO Society, along with broad editorial and advisory service across leading journals and academic and governmental institutions.
